Las Vegas Shows

Las Vegas is hailed as “The Entertainment Capital of the World,” and when it comes to the Las Vegas shows, there is certainly something for everyone. Big name acts like Cher can be found headlining at some of the more notable Vegas casinos, and Celine Dion tickets are always moving quickly. And while you can no longer see Elvis perform in person, you can always catch an Elvis impersonator. Headliners and impersonators aren’t the only ones filling the seats at the numerous Vegas venues, however, and if you’re in the mood for laughs, you can always enjoy a side-splitting comedy show. Magic shows and production shows are among the other Vegas show categories, and the adult shows are always there to add an edge to things. Don’t forget about the Cirque du Soleil shows when trying to decide which Vegas shows you’re most interested in. They have been among the most popular shows in town for quite some time.

Adult Shows:

Las Vegas Adult Shows For some, Las Vegas wouldn’t be the same without the hedonistic edge that the city’s adult shows help to maintain. The French-style burlesque shows are among the more classic Las Vegas adult shows, as they’ve been a staple on the scene for decades. One of the most highly-acclaimed burlesque shows in Vegas is Jubilee, which features production numbers and some enticing dance segments. Another classic when it comes to the Vegas burlesque shows is Crazy Horse Paris
, which integrates many artistic elements into its repertoire. Ooh La La, which is one of the more innovative showgirls shows in town, features sexy performers who not only sing and dance, but who also perform magic tricks and aerial stunts. While some of the Vegas adult shows cater mostly to men, there are also some that are tailor made for women. These include the Chippendales show, which has been a longstanding favorite.

Comedy Shows:

Las Vegas Comedy Shows Time spent in Las Vegas usually involves plenty of smiling and laughing, and you can keep the laughs rolling during your visit by attending one of the Vegas comedy shows. It’s possible to catch some of the funniest acts in the entertainment business in Las Vegas, including Penn and Teller, who bring their unique brand of comedy to the stage at the Rio Hotel and Casino. Rita Rudner is another top comedy act in Vegas, and her shows include jokes that span an extensive and rather impressive career. George Wallace, who is perhaps best-known for his “People Say Stupid Things” routine, also brings a career’s worth of jokes to the stage on the Vegas Strip.

Cirque du Soleil:

Cirque du Soleil Mystical, enchanting, gravity-defying, and unforgettable are just some of the adjectives that one might use to describe Vegas Cirque du Soleil shows like KA
and Zumanity. The Cirque du Soleil performing company, which is based in Montreal, has been putting on shows around the world for some 20 years now, and if you haven’t seen one, you’re in for a truly mesmerizing experience. In addition to KA and Zumanity, Vegas Cirque du Soleil shows like O and Mystere feature dramatic costumes, acrobatic stunts, and rich story lines. Cirque du Soleil has been expanding its horizons in Vegas lately, and their music-related shows, which include Beatles LOVE and Elvis, are fast-becoming some of the most talked about shows in town.

Headliners:

Las Vegas Headliners The Vegas headliners are among the most well-known performers that the entertainment business has ever seen, so it’s understandable that their shows sell out fast. Throughout the year, renowned music groups and famous comedians visit Vegas to do a show or two before heading out, while other big name acts choose to stay for an extended amount of time. Big name music acts who have booked extended runs at Caesars Palace include Cher
, while Barry Manilow performs hits like Copacabana at the Hilton Hotel. Donny and Marie Osmond have reunited to perform in Vegas, and like the other headliner shows, their show features special effects that help to make it anything but your average concert event. Finally, Celine Dion concerts have been announced and are ready for purchse.

Impersonators:

Las Vegas Impersonators Las Vegas has long been known to attract some of the best celebrity impersonators in the entertainment business, and if you want to see an array of them plying their trades, you can get tickets to the Legends in Concert show. Madonna, Elvis, and James Brown impersonators are among the personalities that help to make this show a hit. The American Superstars show also features a talented Elvis performer, as does the Elvis Tribute show at the Sahara, which is a must-see for any fan of The King. While some of the Vegas impersonators aim to impersonate legendary artists, others look to impersonate contemporary personalities. Often times, these shows either rotate performers or are known to introduce new ones as they go, so it’s always a good idea to check the various billings around town.

Magic Shows:

Las Vegas Magic Shows As is the case with the Vegas headliner and comedy shows, the Vegas magic shows
feature some of the most highly-regarded performers in the business. Criss Angel, who has been named Magician of the Year on more than one occasion, has teamed up with Cirque du Soleil to bring added depth to his Las Vegas show Believe. For a more edgy Vegas magic experience, you might prefer the Amazing Johnathan show, which mixes magic with comedy. Penn and Teller, who are among the top comedians in town, also mix magic with comedy. If you like their show, it is likely that you will also enjoy the Amazing Johnathan show. Anthony Cools takes his Vegas magic show in a bit of a different direction, implementing hypnosis into the mix. It’s amazing what Anthony Cools can get his voluntary subjects to say or do while they are under his spell.

Production Shows:

Las Vegas Production Shows Since Las Vegas caters mostly to adults, it’s hard to find Las Vegas shows that the whole family can enjoy. Some of the Las Vegas production shows
are among the best shows in town for families. This is especially true when it comes to the Lion King Las Vegas show, which proves that Sin City does have a family-friendly side. The award-winning director, Franco Dragone, has worked hard to make Le Reve one of the most highly talked about Vegas production shows, and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s fantastic score helps to make the Phantom of the Opera Las Vegas show a fan favorite. While Le Reve and the Phantom of the Opera are predominantly serious in nature, other Vegas production shows like The Producers are quite humorous. The Blue Man Group Vegas show also incorporates some comedic relief into its script, not to mention plenty of innovative percussion-related antics.
